Il saggio tratta il tema dell’umanizzazione e delle sfide ad essa poste dalla modernità. Si avanza l’ipotesi che esso costituisca un filo rosso nelle analisi di Werner Sombart e dunque un leitmotiv che accomuna tutte le opere. Non potendo analizzare la totalità dei lavori dell’Autore, l’attenzione è riservata in particolare a: Il capitalismo Moderno, Il Borghese, Il Socialismo tedesco e Sull’Uomo . Attraverso questo excursus teorico nel pensiero di Werner Sombart, il saggio intende offrire delle chiavi di lettura sulla crisi attuale dell’umanizzazione e delle connesse idee di uomo e di persona.
De-Humanization. The forgotten leitmotiv of Werner Sombart’s works
The essay deals with the theme of humanization and the challenges it has faced during the modern era. The hypothesis is that this concept is a common thread in Werner Sombart’s work, and is indeed the leitmotiv that unites his entire oeuvre. As it is not possible to analyse all of the author’s works, we focus in particular on: Modern Capitalism , The Bourgeois , German Socialism and the Essay on Man . The essay aims to explore the crisis of humanization and the notions of human being and person.
